Student Wellbeing for Exceptional Learning Outcomes
Student well-being is at the heart of our Pastoral Care at Reddam House. Our staff are highly trained and know students as individuals, especially through our tutoring system. They are never short of someone to talk to, whether that be a member of the teaching staff, their tutor, one of our mental health first aiders, or the school counsellor.
Developing resilience in our students is at the heart of our A2B (Aspire to Be) programme, with a further focus on mental health and well-being to ensure learners have all they need to excel in their education.
We also operate a peer mentoring scheme where students from Year 10 work with younger pupils and lend a listening ear where required. We survey our students frequently, taking account of how they are feeling, which allows us to provide an increased level of support for those who need it.
