Preparing Students for Success Beyond School

Preparing Students for Success Beyond School

At Reddam House Berkshire, we expect our students to work hard and we guide them to become independent, self-motivated learners, instilling the belief that success is in their own hands.

From babies in our Early Learning School, through to our Sixth Formers moving on to university, our learners are active participants in setting the direction of their educational journey, empowered with the self-discipline and love of learning that provides the bedrock for success.

We embrace each pupil's individuality and instil the knowledge, values and attitudes that will inspire them to become the best version of themselves. Focused, resilient, and happy, they leave us prepared to excel in their lives outside of school.

Vision and Values

Vision and Values

Most independent schools offer the same style of education – but not Reddam House. Our philosophy is designed around the individual, giving pupils a large amount of freedom and independence in how their schooling is organised, with personalised supervision and guidance from our committed teachers to ensure the best results year after year. This unique philosophy and child-centric ethos sets us apart from any other type of school.

Reddam House aims to be a place of achievement and we help our students gain the momentum necessary to succeed in each of our three pillars of education: Academics, Sports, Performing and Creative Arts.

Values are important at Reddam House: we instil Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Kindness, Courage and Ambition in every aspect of school life, nurturing the individuality, talent and confidence of all our students.

Our Educational Philosophy

Our Educational Philosophy

Our co-educational, non-denominational school is designed to inspire both day and boarding pupils to reach their full potential in a nurturing, progressive, and academic environment. We encourage teamwork and independent thinking, so that our students learn to understand, respect and cooperate with each other. Our experience shows that this helps to develop friendships and effective working relationships which last long beyond their time at school.

Our teaching staff uphold the principles of equality and aspiration which are central to our educational philosophy, while our award winning CHEX (Challenge and Extension for all) Programme ensures that every pupil and teacher knows what they need to do to take their skills and knowledge to the next level. This growth mindset, which is widely adopted across all our schools, values effort and learning through reflection. We believe that potential should not be limited, and that hard work and learning from mistakes are much more important that a child's innate ability.

At Reddam House we nurture every child to reach their full potential and to strive for excellence in everything they do. But above all, your child's time at Reddam House should be happy. Our vibrant learning environment comes from complimenting the academic and co-curricular strengths of the school with the three 'Rs' of pastoral care: relationships, respect, and responsibility.
