Nurturing Skills & Talents Beyond the Classroom

Successful preparation for life after school comes as much from the student’s experience outside of the classroom as it does within. Reddam House Berkshire provides a vast range of clubs, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, spanning art, dance, drama, music, public speaking, societies, and sports. In addition to presenting students with the opportunity to explore new interests and build friendships, these activities encourage every child to find something to develop the personal qualities, attitudes and skills to complement their academic success, becoming well-rounded individuals, ready to tackle any future challenges.

Gain Valuable Skills for a Lifetime of Success

An important element of our co-curricular provision at Reddam House is our House System. Students are allocated into different Houses, participating in various competitions held throughout the school year to accumulate points for their respective teams. This spirited competition fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork among our student body.

Teamwork is also at the heart of many of our clubs, helping instil a genuine fellowship and togetherness in both winning and losing as a team. The experiences students gain with these activities cement friendships and help them develop the resilience and strength of character they need to succeed academically and in life beyond school.

Music Lessons & Clubs

Music Lessons & Clubs

Music is an integral part of Reddam House. Every student is encouraged to learn a musical instrument and join our choirs, instrumental groups, and productions.

Our school boasts a dynamic music programme with peripatetic music teachers who make regular visits to instruct students in a range of instruments, including drums, piano, flute, violin, and singing. To further enrich the musical experience, we offer a variety of music clubs, including orchestra, ensemble, rock band, and choir, providing students with opportunities to collaborate and explore their musical talents in a supportive and creative environment.

The Reddam Adventure Department

The Reddam Adventure Department

The Reddam Adventure Department (RAD) is integrated into our well-being programme and encompasses much, from exciting, outdoor learning opportunities in Junior and Middle School to setting out on incredible adventures both in the UK and abroad. Our RAD is a unique element of the schools, providing opportunities for our students to learn and apply certain skills outdoors, experience adventure, and demonstrate resilience.

With our beautiful school estate as our 'classroom', students have the opportunity to develop courage, collaboration, responsibility, self-belief and challenge. Learning about our world through a variety of topics, from cooking to fire building, ecology to knots, children learn to succeed and fail as a team and defy their limitations.
